All Miss Maker courses run from my beautiful sewing room in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.
I'm Clare and as well as running Miss Maker I enjoy teaching all aspects of dress making. I have always loved all things creative, especially anything to do with fabric and textiles.
My grandmother (pictured right wearing one of her creations), who was a brilliant seamstress, provided inspiration for me throughout my younger life.
She bought me my first sewing machine at the tender age of seven and a life long love affair was born.
The skills I learnt from her have stayed with me and throughout the years I have expanded my interest across many forms of sewing, needlework, embroidery, dressmaking and machine sewing techniques.
When the opportunity came in 2009 to take voluntary redundancy, I took it, deciding it was now or never to embrace my passion for creative sewing and spend my time enabling and inspiring others to do the same.
I always have a few projects on the go and all my latest makes and meanderings can be found on my social media accounts:
