Children’s clothes – T-shirts, tops, leggings and pyjamas
Sort your childen's wardrobe staples for all seasons, work through construction techniques for tops and trousers, working in cotton (pyjama bottoms) or jersey (t-shirts, tops and leggings) on sewing machines or overlockers.
Block patterns and a PDF pattern with full instructions will be provided. Children come in all shapes and sizes therefore please bring along a few key measurements so that patterns can be easily matched and adapted (chest circumference, hip circumference, leg length, arm length, back length)
Materials to bring: Exactly how much fabric is required depends on what you wish to make and the age of the child you are making for so please feel free to ask for advice in advance of the course. As a rough guide: at least 1m of jersey fabric is required for t-shirts/tops, at least 1.5m of jersey or cotton fabric is required for pyjama bottoms, shorts.
Sessions are kept to a maximum of 4 people to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace. Groups and parties welcome see the Special Sessions page.
