This course is a must for anyone who wants to begin dressmaking. During the day we will use a simple pattern to produce a pair of summer trousers / pyjama bottoms (shorts or trousers is up to you!). During the morning we will go through how to check your measurements against the pattern and choose the correct size, how and where to make any necessary alterations to the pattern, and how to accurately cut your pattern pieces. After lunch you will piece together, sew and finish your trousers or shorts to take home with you.
Included in the price is a pattern which we will adjust and size so you can create your pyjama bottoms on the day and use your new found skills and confidence to make more at home. You will need to bring 2.5m of your chosen pyjama/trouser fabric, matching thread and 2.5cm elastic for the wasitband with you, pretty cotton prints are fine for pyjamas or trousers, if you need any advice at all then please get in touch and I'll be happy to help you.
Sessions are kept to a maximum of 6 people to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace. Groups and parties welcome see the Special Sessions page.
